Just here looking at the ocean 🙂 Today has been a relaxing day of rehearsals and recovering from our busy schedules in Beijing and Shanghai. It has been a very fun day and all 55 of us girls have really gotten to get to know each other! Xiamen is beautiful. From what I’ve learned it is very much a leisure city, a vacation destination. I feel very lucky to be here. The weather is pretty warm, it feels like May for me!

I am also very excited to announce that I was chosen by the other 54 girls to read the peace message of the World Miss University Organization on the final show on January 27th! Miss China-Macow will be reading in Chinese, and I will be reading in English. I’m so honoured and thankful to have been selected and am very excited for the final show!

We ended the day with dinner and a talent show. We performed for each other and the organizers. I sang Colours of the Wind from Pocahontas. A few talents will be selected to perform in the final show. Watching dances from other countries was so moving and inspiring! I’ve had the privilege of studying different dance styles at Cardinal Carter and at Western University, but this has been an entirely new and unique experience. I am soaking all of this in, and learning as much as I can about the world. What an amazing way to learn about the world! If you want to watch some highlights check out my snapchat story: catvalle 🙂
